Draw more

I love shoulders...the power...all that they suggest of a male figure..the strength...capability...doesn't hurt when they are swimmers either.

This drawing shows a level of understanding that popped onto the paper. I didn't realize how beautifully the neck can fit into the shoulders in pencil!

Here is a drawing on watercolor paper toned with watercolor...and then drawn with conte. I had forgotten mine, but a wonderful artist in our group gaveme access to his tool box and I wore his conte stick out. This one is important to me because of the feeling I got while doing it. I was able to tap into the flow and the freedom and sense of abandon while I was drawing that was new and different. I've been in the "zone" before...this was new. Who needs drugs??? I may keep this one...

This is a back study that worked for me on many levels. I love doing the back...all my models know this and ask why...I don't have an answer yet...

Definately hoping to see you draw more! These are very, very good. I like your sense of direct light and how you use it to model the form/figure. Jim

Absolutely delicious. I am glad to see us women drawing men. We were the ones drawn by those artists for centuries. Time to catch up. And ENJOY! I want to eat something up in that photo! lol Seriously, though, amazing job of capturing the sensuality and beauty of the human form. Bravo to the artist. I love drawing men!
